6. Are cookies used in this offer?

When you use our website, cookies are stored on your device.

A cookie is a short entry in a special file directory of your device. A cookie is used for the exchange of information between computer programs or the temporary archiving of information. Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the Internet offer as a whole more user-friendly and effective. For example, cookies help to ensure that the selected font size remains the same when accessing different subpages.

Most browsers (e.g. Microsoft Edge and Firefox) contain settings for storing cookies. However, you can deactivate the storage of cookies or set your browser so that cookies are only stored for the duration of the respective connection to the Internet.

This website uses only so-called transient cookies for temporary use. Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. This includes, in particular, session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the joint session. This allows your device to be recognized when you return to this website. Session cookies are automatically deleted when you log out or close your browser.

7. Use of YouTube

We use the YouTube.com platform to post our own videos and make them publicly available. YouTube is the offer of a third party not affiliated with us, namely YouTube LLC.

Some websites of our offer contain links or links to the offer of YouTube. In general, we are not responsible for the content of websites to which links are made. However, in the event that you follow a link on YouTube, we would like to point out that YouTube stores the data of its users (e.g. personal information, IP address) in accordance with its own data usage guidelines and uses them for business purposes.

We also integrate videos stored on YouTube directly on our website. With this integration, contents of the YouTube website are displayed in parts of a browser window. However, the YouTube videos are only retrieved by clicking separately. This technique is also known as framing. If you access a (sub)page of our website on which YouTube videos are integrated in this form, a connection to the YouTube servers is established and the content is displayed on the website by notification to your browser.

The integration of YouTube content takes place only in the ‘extended data protection mode’. This is provided by YouTube itself and thus ensures that YouTube initially does not store cookies on your device. When accessing the relevant pages, however, the IP address and the other data referred to in section 4 are transmitted and thus communicated in particular which of our Internet pages you have visited. However, this information cannot be assigned to you unless you have logged in to YouTube or another Google service before the page was accessed or are permanently logged in.

As soon as you start playing a embedded video by clicking on it, YouTube only stores cookies on your device that do not contain personally identifiable data, unless you are currently logged in to YouTube or another Google service. These cookies can be prevented by appropriate browser settings and extensions.

By visiting our website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the data referred to in point 4 are transmitted. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not wish to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as user profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its offer. Such an evaluation takes place in particular (even for users who are not logged in) for the provision of needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website.
